| Bio: |  Character Information Name: Lily True Name: Lena Park Gender: Female Age: 19 Birthday: May 8, 2001 Greatest Ambition: After watching her entire family die around her, her greatest ambition is merely to survive longer than they did and to stay sane doing it. Physical Description: Lily is relatively tall in comparison to most women she knows, but not so tall that she would be considered freakish. She has long, light brown hair that's naturally a little curly, but is easy enough to straighten with nothing more than a hairbrush. She has medium blue eyes and pale skin, features she picked up from her mother. She was never an athletic person, but is strong enough to hold her own, resulting in little more than a slender build. Distinguishing Marks: She has a budding tree tattoo across her lower back, the artwork which she designed herself and is supposed to symbolize her awakening into the world. Sexual Orientation: Straight Single or taken: Single Best friend: She was never one to surround herself with other people, and never trusted anyone more than her own mother, so if she were to put the label "best friend" on someone, it would be her mother, who died two years prior. Personality: Generally quiet, but not because she's shy. She was taught from a young age that a person's future and worth was determined by how well they can take care of themself, and so she kept to herself most of the time. Only after the virus started taking away people she knew did she start to open up, and by then it was almost too late to adapt to a whole new lifestyle. She's very artistic, turning everything she does into a form of art if she can, and likes to work in silence, but won't yell or scream if she doesn't have things her way. She's very patient and forgiving, knowing that not everyone sees things the way she does. Personal History: Lena Park was born to Jeremiah Friedman and Rose Park, unmarried musicians that stayed together for as long as Lena had known either of them, but always told her that marriage was just a label to unite society in chaos. Most of their neighbors and Lena's schoolmates referred to the family as "extremists", but Lena didn't really see how laying out in their lawn, talking about the beauties of nature and music and art was so extreme. From a young age, Lena was taught to be herself and that nobody in the world knew any better for her than she did. She knew she wanted to be an artist. She enjoyed drawing, painting, sculpting, carving... any form of art she tried, she loved. Twice in her youth, she was brought home after being caught tagging the side of a building. She was met with praise rather than punishment. This isn't to say that she wasn't disciplined. She got her fair share of punishments growing up, but never for expressing her creativity. She learned how to play the violin at her own request and her parents were more than pleased to find that their daughter had a desire to be a musician, too. The gift they'd purchased her for her sixteenth birthday was a rather expensive Heinrich Gill violin, which she, unfortunately, lost after the virus first hit and everyone was sent into a panic. Her parents referred to themselves as "free souls" and tended to move the family around a lot. At least twice every school year, Lena and her three older half brothers (from her father's side) were moved to a new school in a new city, and probably in a new state, as well. She'd seen most of the eastern coast of the United States by the time she was twelve. The only member of her family that she was ever really close with was her mother, as the male members of her family tended to group together on things, and they also decided when and how they moved. The first member of her family to be taken by the virus was her father, which sent the family into its own sort od chaos. Her mother wasn't used to leading so her brothers took over the family, pushing them west and far away from everyone they had come to know in their new town. After her father, it was her eldest brother who passed away next, then the middle brother, and eventually, her mother, leaving only Lena and her older brother, Thomas. Together, they continued west, avoiding largely populated areas, not because they were afraid, but because of the smell. After a few months, Lena woke up one morning to find her brother missing and no clues as to where he'd gone. Eventually, she found herself in Sundance, hiding out where she could and avoiding the obvious grouping of the various tribes. She'd told herself that she could be strong on her own, but found that, despite everything her parents had taught her about taking care of herself, she knew she needed the support of others, as well. She made her way into the forests by the town, having heard of the people there and figuring they'd be the most welcoming and perhaps the most like her. She was used to hard work and gardening, as her mother had taught her a lot about both, and found the peaceful work of tending to the Twin Feathers' gardens to be very satisfying. There were others, of course, and she didn't have to do the work alone, but she still enjoys the quiet out there more than anything else. She's fallen into her own sort of routine, which she assumes everyone else has, as well. She wakes up early, goes out to the gardens and spends most of her day there, cleaning up and making sure everything is growing properly. She knows she doesn't have much to give to the tribe, but she can at least help them in this way. She's been known to plant flowers outside the main area of the gardens, convinced that there needs to be some beauty left in the world. It's hard for her to obtain supplies to support her artistic muse, and often finds other forms of art to express herself such as growing her flowers in otherwise peculiar shapes or carving wood and using dyes to decorate her room. She doesn't want to hand everyone's solution to them on a silver platter. She keeps to herself, mostly, and believes some people might think she's being childish with it.
